Concepts for Living - Making the Perfect Match

Jan Somers, LCSW BCD, Site Assessment Consultant

With greatest pride in addressing the quality of our product, Concepts has proudly added two experienced and highly trained social workers  in the roles of Site Assessment Consultants, providing the team and clients of Concepts with an impartial and professional evaluation of the residential site based on  the physical property, the staffing, the activities (if appropriate), owner or administrator and staff experience, client satisfaction, general and additional services offered. These two women will take their knowledge and eyes to the road, interviewing owners and administrators, meeting with staff, social exchanges with willing residents and physically walking through each property to assess the comfort, the services, the care, the food, the availability of staff and above all, the compassion.

A woman for all
seasons, Jan Somers has been a business owner, providing moving and relocation services to seniors, a Clinical Director, an advocate, educator and utilization reviewer in government and private venues, as well as a private practitioner in the field of general mental health, psychotherapist servicing adolescents, adults and older adults who specialized in substance abuse services to these populations.

For her innate need to service the community and her heart, she has worked with the homeless and disadvantaged, as a Field Director with the Girl Scouts of America and in the field of Early Childhood Education. She has held volunteer positions including literacy tutor, Special Olympics and the Alzheimer’s Association.
