While Allison comes to Concepts as a professional newcomer in the field of senior services, she is hardly a newcomer in dealing with the angst of the devoted family member of an aging parent. For years, Alison has been that family member, devoted to her mother and needing to find the right answer for her needs.
Having navigated the system with tenacity, sensitivity and drive, Allison learned the available services from the inside-out and top to bottom. She hired and supervised home care attendants and when that option was exhausted, she researched new possibilities, answers for their dilemma. Working with a senior placement service that was less than satisfactory for her needs and less than committed to personalizing the appropriate selections suitable for her mom, Allison took over the job and ultimately found the right place. This is what she brings to Concepts as a Senior Care Coordinator, an understanding of what the families and the seniors sincerely need: the ear that listens, the shoulder to lean on, the hand that holds.
